1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of SecureSend at securesend.tech, including accounts, encrypted one-time sharing, subscriptions, and pay-per-share balance top-ups. “SecureSend”, “we”, and “us” refer to the service operated under the SecureSend name. By creating an account or using a paid service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be legally able to enter into a contract where you live. You are responsible for providing accurate account details, protecting your password and sign-in links, and activity carried out through your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission. We may require email verification before enabling account access.

3. The service

SecureSend lets account holders send text, files, or both through time-limited links. Recipients verify access using an email one-time code. Share content is encrypted before storage and is designed to become unavailable after retrieval, revocation, or expiry. Do not use SecureSend as the only copy or archive of information.

Delivery depends on the internet, email providers, payment providers, and other systems outside our control. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. We may maintain, change, suspend, or discontinue features, while respecting applicable legal obligations.

4. Acceptable use and your content

You retain rights to content you submit. You give us permission to process, encrypt, store, transmit, and delete it only as needed to operate and secure the service. You are responsible for having the rights and authority to share it.

You must not use SecureSend to break the law, infringe another person’s rights, distribute malware, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with the service, or share content you are not entitled to disclose. We may suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect users, the service, or comply with law.

5. Free use, prices, and payments

The free plan currently includes up to 10 created shares. Paid plan prices and pay-per-share rates are shown on the website and in your account before purchase. Prices are stated in South African rand (ZAR) unless the checkout page says otherwise. Applicable taxes will be handled as required by law.

Payments are processed through PayFast. We do not receive or store your full payment-card details. A monthly plan is a recurring subscription and may be charged again according to the plan displayed at checkout until cancelled. A pay-per-share top-up adds ZAR-denominated service balance; eligible use is charged at the rate displayed in the account.

Payment-provider confirmation, rather than a browser return page, determines whether a payment is credited or a paid plan is activated. If a payment is taken but the account is not updated, contact us with the payment date and amount; do not send card details or passwords.

6. Cancellation, refunds, and account closure

You can cancel a recurring monthly subscription from the Subscription section of your Profile. SecureSend submits the cancellation to PayFast and, once confirmed, shows the date through which paid access remains available. Cancellation stops future renewals; unless applicable law requires otherwise, partial periods are not prorated. If you cannot access your Profile or cancellation does not complete, use the support form. Refunds are handled under our Refund Policy and applicable law.

You may stop using the service at any time. Contact support to request account closure. Closure may make account features unavailable; it does not remove payment obligations already incurred or rights that must survive by law.

7. Privacy and security

We use technical and organizational measures intended to protect information, but no online service can promise absolute security. The service may process account details, recipient email addresses, share metadata, and payment status to deliver its features. Aggregate product statistics count daily events without recording user identities or share contents. Contact support for privacy questions or requests.

8. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided subject to rights and guarantees that cannot be excluded under applicable law. Nothing in these terms limits liability where such limitation is unlawful. To the extent permitted by law, SecureSend is not responsible for indirect loss or loss caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control. You should retain separate copies of information you need to keep.

9. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms by publishing a revised version here and changing the effective date. Material changes will be communicated where reasonably practicable. These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa, subject to any mandatory protections available to you under applicable law.
